FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Is chip tuning safe for my car?
Yes. At Autotech, all tuning is done within the manufacturer’s safety limits. Our software adjustments are custom-made for each engine, ensuring better performance without sacrificing reliability or engine life.
Will chip tuning affect my warranty?
When done professionally, chip tuning will not be detected by standard dealer diagnostics and does not void your warranty. However, if physical changes are made to components like DPF or EGR, this could impact your warranty—always ask our specialists for details.
What’s the difference between chip tuning and power boxes (tuning boxes)?
Chip tuning (ECU remapping) adjusts dozens of critical engine parameters for a balanced and safe power increase. Power boxes simply “trick” a few sensors and often deliver unpredictable or limited results. Autotech always recommends full ECU tuning for real, safe gains.
What results can I expect from a chip tuning session?
You can typically expect a 20–40% increase in power and torque, smoother throttle response, and often improved fuel economy—depending on your driving style and vehicle type. All improvements are fully tested before delivery.
Do you offer any guarantee or test period?
Absolutely! We offer a 30-day test drive: if you’re not satisfied, we can restore your car to its original state. Plus, you get a lifetime software warranty for every tuning file installed at Autotech.
